Yahoo Fantasy Football
Yahoo Fantasy Football was kicking off a new season, fresh off a global brand refresh. This meant a whole new look for Yahoo, Fantasy Sports included. As the Art Director I worked in tandem with creative partners to incorporate the rebrand in our sports products + offerings. I had to keep it looking very Yahoo but also keep the excitement and football forward look our audience anticipated year after year.
A central part of the rebrand was a 22 degree angle wedge. This was given some perspective and used to create a Turmeric colored Gridiron Field, keeping our Football roots, but incorporating the brand. A flexible system was devised to work across canvases, allowing us to dial up the intensity of the graphics or pair it down when needed. This allowed us to keep the fun at an all time high, something very important for our users.
Alongside these sharp graphics bespoke 3D objects were used to symbolize our different offerings and embody the game of Fantasy Football. I Art Directed these from sketch to fully realized object, working with our creative partner, Toika, the whole way.
The visuals were pushed across platforms including microsites, social media, video content, many many banner offerings, a robust email campaign + many more.
